Overview - Key Stage 4

Our broad Key Stage 4 curriculum is designed to propel students towards a higher level of academic rigor and personal growth. It builds upon the strong foundation laid during Key Stage 3, delving deeper into subjects and fostering critical thinking, problem-solving, and independent learning. This curriculum offers a diverse array of subjects, allowing students to explore their interests and strengths while also exposing them to new disciplines. A variety of study methods are implemented, preparing students for the demands of higher education or vocational pathways. Moreover, the curriculum encourages the development of essential life skills such as time management, research proficiency, and effective communication. Through a combination of practical applications, real-world projects, and assessments, students are empowered to excel and exceed their own expectations. This only equips them with academic skills but also instills resilience, adaptability, and a lifelong passion for learning, ensuring they emerge from Key Stage 4 well-prepared for the next phase of their educational journey and beyond.

All students study a core curriculum of English, Maths and Science. In addition to this they choose 4 options subjects.
